Attorney Eric J. Gould joined Cohen, Lerner & Rabinovitz, P.C., as an Associate in 2017 after serving of Counsel for four years. He practices in the areas of commercial transactions, employment law, estate planning, real estate transactions, and tax. With over 25 years of professional experience, Eric Gould prides himself on his ability to articulate complex legal matters in a way his clients can understand providing them clarity and comfort as they decide their next course of action. He practices before the United States Tax Court, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit. In addition to his work for Cohen Lerner, Eric J. Gould holds positions as a Clinical Professor at Walsh College and an Adjunct Professor in Wayne State University’s College of Business Administration. His genuine interest in some less popular aspects of the law, together with his experience as an educator, provides his clients with insight they may not find elsewhere.

Joshua H. Grabar has extensive experience as counsel in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts throughout the nation, with a particular concentration and emphasis in individual and class action litigation under state and federal antitrust laws, federal securities laws, and state consumer protection laws. Mr. Grabar has also represented plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of other commercial litigation, including breach of contract litigation, litigation involving claims for coverage and indemnification under Directors and Officers liability insurance policies, disputes involving business torts and other unfair and deceptive business practices, claims involving alleged breach of fiduciary duty and misuse of corporate assets by corporate officers and directors, and claims involving private and public sector employees with respect to whistleblower protection laws.

Area of Practice: Corporation, Mineral and Transactional Law F.T. “Tom” Graff, Jr., a practicing attorney since 1964, is the former Managing Partner of the firm and practices in the areas of business and commercial law, banking law and mineral law. His law practice began in real estate and coal, oil and gas law and evolved into a commercial and banking law practice, as well as natural resources. Tom has represented sole proprietorships, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and banking institutions, large and small, and has been involved in acquisitions and sales of businesses or business assets with extensive experience in the purchase and sale of coal, oil, gas and timber assets and properties. He also has participated in the planning, conceptualization, negotiation and settlement of numerous significant commercial transactions and claims, including the regular representation of clients in loan and capital related transactions. He currently acts as counsel and advisor to corporate executives and many of the firm’s commercial clients. He acted as Managing Partner of Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love from 1986 to 2007. During that time, the firm grew from 30 attorneys in one Charleston office in 1986 to an organization of more than 120 attorneys and seven offices in West Virginia, Kentucky and Virginia.
