Adamczyk Law Offices, L.L.P. in 1992. Since that time, her sole focus has been the various aspects of family law. She received her B.S. from Buffalo State University in New York in 1987 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1991. Ms. Adamczyk came to Pittsburgh from Buffalo, New York in 1991, having married her current law partner and immediately set off to establish her own law firm. She has met with success since the beginning and her reputation as a family law practitioner is well known. Over the years, she has represented thousands of individuals in divorce, equitable distribution, support, and custody issues. The court selects her on a regular basis to act as a guardian ad litem in difficult child custody cases so the child’s voice and needs may be heard. In addition, she has work as an Allegheny County Law Department Assistant County Solicitor in the Title IV-D Department handling all issues regarding support for the County. Mary Adamczyk has also been a legal clerk to judicial staff in both the family law and civil law divisions where she has gained further insight on how the legal process can best serve litigants in these difficult situations. This included working with the administrative judge of the family division. Super Lawyers Magazine recognized her as a Rising Star for family law. Ms. Adamczyk is routinely requested as a speaker for legal seminars as well as private organizations whose members are interested or have particular needs concerning family law issues. She also provides consulting services to school administrators regarding the interpretation of custody orders. Ms Adamczyk’s approach provides understanding and emotional support, yet she stresses that she can best help the client obtain settlement or succeed in litigation involving property division when they can focus on the “business deal” as she calls it. In child custody cases the considerations are, of course, different. As a mother of two, plus years of experience representing both parents and children, she is able to see all sides and provide the guidance and advice necessary to succeed in helping the children. Ms. Adamczyk has also successfully mediated many equitable distribution matters and custody issues. Litigation is always a last resort. Mary Adamczyk was selected to be a panelist at a CLE (Continuing Legal Education) seminar on Guardians Ad Litem called, “Guardians Ad Litem: Custody from All Perspectives.” The panel included Mary Adamczyk and two Family Division Judges. The seminar took place on February 7, 2018, and was organized by the Family Law Section. Mary Adamczyk was elected to the Family Law Section Council in 2017, with her term ending in 2020. She was selected to co-chair the mentoring committee. Adamczyk Law Offices L.L.P. was a main sponsor of one of Pittsburgh’s Fifty Finest Fundraisers, Attorney Sease, who was a paralegal for Adamczyk Law Offices, L.L.P. prior to her passing the bar. The law firm helped Attorney Sease organize a silent auction to support her fundraising efforts for Cystic Fibrosis. Ms. Sease was one of the top 5 fundraisers in the Pittsburgh Fifty Finest Class of 2017. Our law firm attempts to actively resolve our cases prior to proceeding to litigation.
