Pete has been recognized by his peers as one of the best family lawyers in Virginia. His accolades include numerous nominations as a Super Lawyer, one of Virginia’s Legal Elite; being recognized as a Top Family Law Attorney in Hampton Roads, a Top Family Lawyer in Virginia, and receiving a Top Ten Attorney award from the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. Pete was a partner at the law firm of Willcox & Savage for twenty years before eventually establishing his own firm with his partners, Arnold Abrons and Tim Sceviour. Pete is currently a member of the Virginia State Bar Board of Governors for Family Law, and has participated in and chaired other professional committees for state and local bar associations. Recognizing that litigation is not always the best solution for family law disputes, Pete was one of the charter members of the Virginia Association of Collaborative Professionals, and previously served as president of the organization now known as Collaborative Divorce Professionals of Tidewater. He is a member of the American Bar Association Family Law Section, the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association and the Virginia Beach Bar Association. Pete was the top man in his class at the University of Richmond School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Old Dominion University with an undergraduate degree in business. Prior to attending law school, Pete owned and operated his own business in Virginia Beach. He is a frequent lecturer on Family Law topics, and is an adjunct professor at Old Dominion University. Pete was born in Brooklyn, New York, is married and has three children. He is active in civic and community affairs, having coached youth basketball and softball, served as President of the St. Gregory’s School Board, and served on the Executive Committee of Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia. Pete knows from personal experience the effects of divorce on individuals, and the challenges of a blended family. He is mindful of the financial burden and emotional toll endured by clients in family law matters and he is committed to providing his clients with exceptional service and representation. Attorney Michelle Cimino became licensed to practice law in New York in 1997. She graduated cum laude from Nazareth College in 1991. Next, she received her JD from Syracuse University, where she also graduated cum laude in 1995. She is a member of the New York Bar association.
