Scott is a partner with the firm and is the head of the litigation department. He began his career in California's Silicon Valley in 1990. He moved to Kansas and joined Hovey Williams in 1999. His practice includes all aspects of intellectual property creation, management, enforcement and licensing, with particular emphasis on intellectual property litigation. Scott has been a full time first chair trial lawyer since 1999, handling more than one hundred lawsuits in state and federal courts across the country in his career, both at trial and on appeal.

Susan Brown is the founder and owner of the firm. She has devoted her 30+ years as a lawyer to litigation and appeals in the areas of insurance defense, including auto, premises and property insurance and coverage, employment law and counseling, and personal injury defense. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and the Wayne State University Law School. Susan has been the author of the No-Fault Column in the Michigan Defense Trial Quarterly and has taught several seminars. These seminars have included various aspects of no-fault law, personal injury, insurance claims handling, insurance litigation, and director and officer liability. Susan has also taught several employment law seminars on topics including HIPAA, COBRA, wages and benefits, employment discrimination, whistleblower claims, and drafting and enforcing personnel policies.

Raymond E. Brown is a founding member of The Law Office of Raymond E. Brown, LLC. His focus is on estate planning and associated practices in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Raymond brings compassion, understanding, and thoroughness to the table when listening to clients explain their goals and vision. He regularly donates free time to assisting underrepresented and impoverished individuals, believing that everyone should have a say when it comes to their legacy and medical decisions. He is an attorney by training and has been a registered lobbyist in Washington State since 1992. His early career included working as a staff member in the United States House of Representatives and as a state government lobbyist for Washington Natural Gas Company. He founded Cascade Government Affairs with Margaret Brown in 1997. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Association of Washington Business. He has served in leadership positions for several organizations, including a number of non-profit charitable boards.
