ohn D. Borbi was born in Roebling, New Jersey and graduated from Florence Township High School. During his high school years, Mr. Borbi worked alongside of his father and other family members at the historic Roebling Steel Mill manufacturing steel and wire mesh. Mr. Borbi then attended the University of Delaware where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. While attending the University of Delaware, Mr. Borbi played intercollegiate football for the Blue Hens under legendary coach Tubby Raymond. Following college, Mr. Borbi attended the University of Dayton School of Law and received a Juris Doctor Degree in 1990 with honors. Following law school, Mr. Borbi joined the firm of Parker, McCay and Criscuolo in Marlton, New Jersey, where he specialized in defending area hospitals, physicians, businesses and insurance companies. During this period of time, Mr. Borbi successfully tried over one hundred (100) Jury Trials and was the youngest attorney in the State of New Jersey to be granted the designation of Certified Civil Trial Attorney at the age of 31. Mr. Borbi joined the firm of Freidman, Bafundo and Porter in 1996 as a Trial Attorney and shortly thereafter became a partner in the firm. Mr. Borbi has achieved multiple multi-million dollar verdicts throughout the State of New Jersey in various types of cases including medical malpractice, automobile accidents, insurance claims and negligence matters. Mr. Borbi was appointed to the Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America-New Jersey where he continues to serve. He has also been awarded a rating of "A.V." by Martindale-Hubbel, a designation reserved only for preeminent lawyers in the country. Mr. Borbi has been recognized as one of the premier personal injury lawyers in the United States and locally by South Jersey Magazine, New Jersey Monthly Magazine, Philadelphia Magazine, New Jersey Super Lawyers, Philadelphia Super Lawyers, Courier Post and the Philadelphia Inquirer Mr. Borbi is the President and managing partner of the firm and Chairperson of the Personal Injury Department, overseeing all the personal injury cases and trials for the firm. In 2015, Mr. Borbi was named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in America by the National Trial Lawyers Association, an honor reserved for very few attorneys in the United States of America. Attorney Tom Boris, who grew up on a 100 acre farm in Washington PA, has spoken in front of thousands of individuals at seminars regarding the complex issues surrounding estate planning, financial planning, and Elder Law. Tom Boris, A Pittsburgh Attorney, has co-authored seven books including: “Not Your Parents Retirement”, “From Boomer To Doomer”, “11 Critical Things Oil & Gas Lease Holders Must Know About Estate Planning”, “The Consumer’s Guide to Estate Planning”, “What To Do When a Loved One Dies”, and “Don’t Go Broke in a Nursing Home!”. He has also made numerous appearances on KDKA television to discuss various aspects of Estate Planning and Elder Law. Attorney Boris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Washington and Jefferson College and received his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law. He is married to his lovely wife Stephanie, who is also an attorney, and they have two wonderful sons, Thomas Lee and Nicholas Tyler. Tom is extremely close to his parents and considers his family as the most important thing in his life. Tom is also a member of the National Rifle Association, and in his limited free time he enjoys playing ice hockey, watching movies, and most importantly playing with his two boys.

Jacob Born is a partner who focuses his practice in the areas of catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation. He represents clients and their families in nursing home, trucking, industrial worksite, and complex injury litigation cases. Jacob has devoted much of his professional career to finding answers to complex legal issues. The most rewarding part of Jacob’s practice is securing meaningful results for his clients when he is up against large corporations, nationwide trucking companies, and multi-national businesses. Jacob grew up in northeast Columbia. He is a 2001 graduate of Ridge View High School. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology. Jacob continued his professional career by attending the Charleston School of Law. He graduated in 2011. Jacob is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of South Carolina and Georgia. He is a contributing member of the American Association of Justice, South Carolina Association for Justice, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Jacob is an active member of the American Association of Justice’s nursing home, trucking, and motor-liability litigation groups. Jacob has also been nominated as a Rising Star with Super Lawyers, which awarded to the top 5% of lawyers in their practice area. Outside the practice of law, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, working on DIY projects at his house, snow skiing, and being involved in his local community. Kenneth Bornstein lives on Long Island with his wife and two sons. He was born and raised in the Brighton Beach section of Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Administration from St. John’s University and his Juris Doctorate from St. John's University School of Law. After law school, Mr. Bornstein joined the Legal Aid Society in Queens, handling a variety of cases from inception to disposition. Mr. Bornstein's work with the Legal Aid Society provided courtroom experience that would be valuable later in his career. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association and St. John's University School of Law Alumni Association. He is also a mentor with the Nassau County Bar Association Mentor Program and a volunteer with the We Care Fund of Nassau County. He has volunteered in community organizations, as Director and Secretary of the Merrick-North Merrick Little League, and, Vice-President of the Merrick Lion’s Club.
