Teri Rowe
Distinguished Lawyer
Civil Litigation

650 N 3rd Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003, USA

Teri Rowe was born in New York and has lived in Arizona since high school. She attended the University of Arizona, earning degrees in Physics and Astronomy, and interned with NASA. She spent two years working with the National Science Foundation teaching second and third grade science at underprivileged schools in Southern Arizona. She also taught professional development courses in science to elementary school teachers throughout the state. Teri began her career as a Systems Engineer for Raytheon in Tucson with the team designing the TOW Fire & Forget anti-tank missile system. After some time with Raytheon, she found that engineering work didn’t satisfy her need to connect with people or her desire to help others. She left the field of engineering and took a job as a paralegal at a personal injury firm hoping to get some exposure to the practice of law, and quickly discovered that she found the work fulfilling and rewarding. Teri went on to attend law school at Arizona State University, where she was a senior editor of Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science and Technology. Upon graduation, Teri began her legal career focused on representing those injured and victimized by others. For the first ten years of her practice, she worked at a small firm where she represented victims of catastrophic injuries and wrongful death. She also worked in criminal defense, defending those charged with felony and misdemeanor crimes, served as a victim advocate for crime victims, and handled probate cases for minors and vulnerable adults. Teri joined Miller Kory Rowe in 2014 and has since dedicated the majority of her practice to representing the victims of nursing home abuse and neglect, as well as medical malpractice. She also continues to represent those catastrophically injured in construction accidents, tractor-trailer collisions, pedestrian, bicyclist and motorcycle collisions, assaults, and claims against government entities and schools. She has tried both jury and bench trials to verdict. She has achieved excellent results for her clients and is proud of the gratitude and loyalty those clients have expressed. Teri has not completely left her prior career as an engineer behind. Her engineering and math background, as well as her teaching experience, has proved valuable in understanding the corporate structures and accounting systems of national nursing home chains, as well as explaining accident dynamics in collision and construction cases. Teri is uniquely skilled at combining the math and physics involved in her cases with her teaching experience, and often uses those skills to create visual displays and exhibits for trial. Outside of her career, Teri is a soccer mom and regularly road trips and camps with her children who have set a goal to visit every national park in the United States. She is also a certified yoga instructor and has maintained a regular yoga practice since 2004. She is an avid distance and trail runner, completing half and full marathons. Teri grew up adventuring in the outdoors and spends her free time backpacking, hiking, and exploring wherever she goes.

Insurance Law

2420 E Goldenrod St, Phoenix, AZ 85048, USA

Heather N. Seigler is a Partner in the Irvine office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. and has extensive litigation experience in insurance defense, including car accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, SIU, public entity, products liability, tractor-trailer accidents, first party cases such as uninsured/underinsured motorist cases, wrongful death and elder abuse cases. Heather’s experience includes the analysis and litigation of complex injury cases, including catastrophic injury. Before joining Resnick & Louis, Heather gained valuable experience working in-house for an insurance company where she successfully tried 7 cases to verdict, all with positive outcomes for her clients. Heather was named Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2016 at her firm. She then honed her craft working as panel counsel for a number of insurance companies, self-insured companies, major trucking companies, and several fortune 500 grocery chains. While there, Heather tried an alleged multi-million-dollar trial involving an amputated limb and alleged complex regional pain syndrome which included numerous experts and several weeks of trial. Again, Heather received a verdict that was a positive outcome for her clients. Heather then took an opportunity to work on the plaintiff side where she gained valuable experience learning from the “other side” and taking numerous expert and treating doctor depositions. She quickly grew to learn that plaintiff’s side work was less rewarding. Prior to beginning litigation work, Heather spent her first two years as a member of the bar working in academia as an Academic Support Fellow and Adjunct Professor at Whittier Law School. Through the duration of her career Heather has continued to have a passion for education and has taught dozens of MCLE courses on various aspects of litigation including People v. Sanchez, Voir Dire, wrongful death cases, hip injuries from car accidents, bad faith, and elimination of bias. Heather Seigler has four and a half years of experience working on high profile, multimillion dollar sex abuse cases. Her experience in these cases has run the gamut of complex pre-litigation workup involving confidential settlements, including high stakes confidential in-person mediations, to trial work-up. She has been involved in several confidential cases that have involved settlements of waiver of costs to 15 million dollars+ settlements due to the nature of the case. Her cases have also included liability disputes and value disputes for which there was lack of causation or involvement arguments. Her clients have included religious entities, community entities, school districts, and other nonprofit or for profit organizations providing services to the community. Heather is very familiar with the incredibly sensitive nature in which these matters must be handled. There is a certain manner of professionalism and civility that must be maintained in order to successfully litigate these cases. She has never had difficulty in broaching the vulnerability of these cases on all sides and has had all positive outcomes—be it pre-litigation or due to litigation—to settle or litigate these matters successfully. Prior to graduating from law school, Heather received her B.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Columbia University in 2007. While there she received the Class of 1939 Scholarship and participated in Varsity Softball. She then went on to earn the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and received her J.D. from Whittier Law School, with Certificate in Legal Writing magna cum laude in 2011. She was an Associate Editor of Law Review and also a member of the Public Interest Law Foundation. She also worked as a teacher’s assistant in Contracts, Torts, Civil Procedure, and Criminal Law, all while working off campus in retail. She published an article within At Issue: Medical Malpractice with Gale Academic OneFile. She also successfully published The People v. Indiana Lumbermens, Mutual Insurance Company, Case No. E050297 (CA Dist. 4 Ct. App., Div. 2, Apr. 7, 2011) via a Request for Publication during an externship with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office. She also took part in the prestigious Los Angeles Superior Court Summer Judicial Extern Program under the Honorable Mark Borenstein. When Heather is not working, she enjoys hiking the Back Bay in Newport Beach, cycling, snowboarding, audiobooks, her three cats Babou, Eleanor, and Kahlua, her Standard Poodle Lana, Sci-Fi, Maui, trying new foods, and traveling. She is also a member of the Riverside Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, San Bernardino Bar Association, Western San Bernardino Bar Association, and American Bar Association. Heather is licensed to practice in California.
