In his 35 years of practice, David C. Burtker has handled all forms of medical civil litigation, with special emphasis on the trial practice of medical and health professional negligence, pharmaceutical manufacturer liability and medical products liability matters. David translated ten years of defending personal injury claims into a solo practice helping those who are injured in 2001. Since then, David has had the opportunity to grow the practice through the representation of hundreds of clients throughout eastern Pennsylvania. In 2005, David teamed up with Carl Guagliardo and the next year, Selingo Guagliardo, LLC was formed. The boutique personal injury and litigation practice handles major claims including trucking accidents, medical malpractice claims, insurance disputes, and insurance bad faith claims. David was certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by NBTA, a Pennsylvania Supreme Court accredited agency, in 1999, recertified in 2004, 2009 and 2014. He was elected as a Fellow in Litigation Counsel of America in 2008 and as a Senior Fellow in 2015. He attained certification as a Civil Pretrial Advocate in 2012 and was recertified in 2017. David is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell, the highest ranking available by his peers.
