Alana Wilson is a Bay Area native who graduated cum laude from Saint Mary’s College of California before attaining her law degree from Santa Clara University, School of Law. Throughout law school, Alana developed a passion for criminal defense and participated in various clinics and internships to feed her interests, including the Northern California Innocence Project, expungement clinics, and internships at the Habeas Corpus Resource Center, Santa Clara County Public Defender’s Office, and Contra Costa County Public Defender’s Office. Additionally, Alana volunteered with Fresh Lifelines for Youth to educate high school students on their constitutional rights, and she served as a board member on the Criminal Law Society during her time in law school. She demonstrated academic excellence in the field by receiving the CALI Award for achieving the highest score in her Criminal Procedure course, and as a recipient of the BT Collins academic scholarship, an award given to a law student who demonstrates a strong commitment to the service of others. Immediately upon passing the California Bar Exam, Alana joined the firm as an associate attorney. Alana appreciates that our team recognizes each client’s individualized needs and carefully strategizes to provide zealous advocacy for each and every person represented by our firm. Alana is particularly drawn to cases involving mental health issues, cases with juvenile or youthful offenders, and cases involving domestic disputes. Alana has been an attorney with the Law Offices of William Pernik since 2021 and recently began working at our San Jose office. In her free time, Alana enjoys spending time with family and friends, supporting Bay Area sports teams (Go Valkyries!), traveling, and playing with her puppy, Chase.

Alexandria Cazares-Perez is a criminal defense attorney licensed to practice in the State of Texas and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern District of Texas. She was raised in both the U.S. and Mexico, and is a native bilingual Spanish speaker. Alexandria graduated from St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and then obtained her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law. While pursuing her studies, Alexandria tenaciously sought every possible real-life, practical experience related to criminal cases: she interned for the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office; clerked for the Honorable Judge Ricardo H. Hinojosa of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas; clerked for the highest Texas criminal court—the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals; worked for the nationally renowned criminal defense law firm of Goldstein, Goldstein, Hilley & Orr; and volunteered at the St. Mary’s University School of Law Criminal Justice Clinic. Alexandria is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyer Association and the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association. Her talent and persistence has caught the attention of lawyers throughout Texas. Before even leaving law school, Alexandria was recognized by the San Antonio Defender for achieving one of San Antonio’s best trial verdicts after she successfully represented a client who was found not guilty of a third degree felony by a jury verdict. Alexandria is a tenaciously savage advocate, yet personable and relatable. She has represented clients charged with a broad range of offenses.
