About Robert
Robert Christopher “Chris” Cowan is the founder of R. Christopher Cowan, Esq., Ltd. Co., whose Denver office is on Platte Street in the Circa Building. Dallas is his primary practice location in the State Bar of Texas directory, which lists him as eligible to practice in Texas.
Cowan entered personal injury litigation in Dallas after studying at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business and Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. At the Dallas plaintiffs’ firm where he started, he went on to head the product liability department. His firm biography describes cases against Fortune 100 businesses and international corporations, with clients ranging from individual claimants to whole neighborhoods. It also includes mass actions and class actions among his past work.
The injuries and losses described in that biography span death, paralysis, sexual misconduct, and brain and spinal injuries. Cowan also represented people with less serious injuries; the account is not limited to catastrophic claims. Children, parents, survivors and widows are among the clients it names.
Law was a family profession before Cowan entered it. His father and grandfather represented working individuals and families, making him a third-generation attorney. The Texas directory dates his license to November 5, 1993. His firm now lists two Colorado offices: the Denver location at 1615 Platte Street, Suite 200, and a Durango location at 813 Main Avenue, Suite 209.
