Xinze Liu

Xinze Liu is a founding partner of Beijing Polywell Law Firm whose firm profile lists Beijing as his location and describes work in international trade, overseas asset recovery and anti-corruption compliance. His practice includes assisting Chinese clients with cross-border recovery of funds and enforcement of judgments abroad. He also advises on anti-corruption legislation in China, the United States and the United Kingdom, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Liu’s international trade work includes anti-dumping and countervailing investigations. In October 2017, he represented the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce at a U.S. Section 301 investigation hearing, where he commented on unilateral trade investigations. His firm biography also records overseas litigation work involving Canada, the United States, Hong Kong and Dubai.

His transactional experience includes projects involving acquisitions of gas stations and gas facilities, as well as the establishment of overseas companies for Aeolus Tyre and Zhongce Rubber Group. Alongside legal matters, he has delivered training on overseas asset recovery for supervisory commissions in Liaoning, Shandong and Inner Mongolia. In March 2018, he participated in an APEC Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Cooperation Network asset-recovery workshop in Bangkok.

Liu earned a bachelor’s degree in law from China University of Political Science and Law and was a visiting scholar at Fordham University. His firm lists Chinese and English as his working languages.
