Ted Hannig

Ted Hannig is an attorney and managing partner of Hannig Law LLP in San Carlos, California, whose work includes real estate, business and high technology law. The State Bar of California lists him as Ted Josef Hannig, with an active license and admission on December 12, 1983. He is also a founding partner of the firm, previously known as Hannig Law Firm LLP.

Hannig earned both a law degree and an MBA from Santa Clara University. While there, he was a research editor for the Law Review, an elected member of the Board of Governors and the founder of the Computer and High Technology Law Conference. His experience during that period included service in the Research Attorney’s office of the San Mateo County Superior Court. He also studied international business law at the University of Tokyo while working for a Japanese law firm.

Before establishing Hannig Law LLP, Hannig was a senior partner at Ropers, Majeski, Kohn, Bentley, Wagner & Kane. As a shareholder at Miller, Starr & Regalia, he opened that firm’s Silicon Valley office. His work at Hannig Law included handling, with firm associates, the sale of Black Mountain Spring Water, Inc. to Nestle. That transaction involved business, real estate, corporate, union and employment issues. Hannig has also served as an arbitrator for local courts and was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in April 2016.
