Wendy Crew

Wendy B. Crew is a family law attorney and the founder of Crew Law Group, P.C., in Birmingham, Alabama. She has practiced in Birmingham since 1983, the year she was admitted to practice in Alabama. She is board certified in matrimonial law. Her education includes a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law, awarded in 1983.

Crew was a founding member of the Alabama State Bar’s Family Law Section and has held every office in that section. Her professional affiliations include fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Within that organization, she has served on the national Board of Governors and held the positions of president and secretary in the Alabama chapter. She has also lectured nationally and internationally on domestic relations and family law.

Her writing includes co-authorship of an article on problems presented by virtual trials, published in the Fall 2021 issue of Family Advocate. She also contributed to International Relocation of Children: A Global Guide.

Crew’s work in legal education has included service as an adjunct professor at Cumberland School of Law. With a local high school teacher, she implemented the school’s Street Law Program and co-authored “Play by the Rules” for use in that program. Her community service has included membership on the board of the Alabama Center for Civic Law and Education and service on the executive committee of the AIDS TASC Force of Alabama.
